Walking: Auckland Council has all the info on walks, both local to Oneroa Village and a bit further afield. Whether it is the quiet solitude and unique fragrance of the native bush or the stunning views from cliff-tops and headlands which appeals, Waiheke Island’s walkways offer a diversity and tranquillity rarely found so close to the city. There are many areas of historic interest and large tracts of reserve land. The numerous native wood pigeons are fascinating to observe and beautiful in flight.
Bicycle: Waiheke Bike Hire are located in Matiatia, so you can collect your bike then cycle straight up to Oneroa B and B in Oneroa village.
Electric bicycles: Ecycles are located in Oneroa village a two minute stroll from the B and B… with great service these guys will get your “a” into “gear” 😉
Buses: Waiheke Island Buses operate bus services on Waiheke Island providing transport to the island’s key locations. You can easily navigate the island using this service. All buses return through Oneroa Village, you can jump on and off right outside Oneroa B and B’s door.
Scooter Hire: Waiheke Auto Rentals offers a comprehensive vehicle rental service providing customers with a choice of a wide range of rental vehicles including scooters, motorbikes, convertibles, jeeps, cars and much much more.
Car Rentals: Waiheke Auto Rentals offers a comprehensive vehicle rental service providing customers with a choice of a wide range of rental vehicles including scooters, motorbikes, convertibles, jeeps, cars and much much more.
Tours on Waiheke Island:
Segwai start their tours in Matiatia, they are suitable for any age or fitness level and are highly recommended.
Waiheke Horse Tours are truly awesome, their treks are across some breathtaking countryside, the scenery beautiful.
Waiheke Island Wine Tours provide a fabulous range of tours. They specialise in small groups and provide great commentary along the way. They pickup and drop off to us here at Oneroa B and B.
Ecozip Adventures. These guys have created a brilliant experience. They pick up from Oneroa Village and have different tour/zip packages if you want to do a couple of activities on the one day.
Ross Adventures have Kayak tours that set out from Matiatia. They also hire Kayaks and S.U.P. boards for self adventure fun.
Adventure Fishing These guys offer small groups, maximum of 5, four hour charters twice daily. Great feedback coming through.
Island Dive Waiheke offer dive tours. Also dive tank fillup.
Heletranz While not located on Waiheke Island they can start a flight anywhere and drop you to a local vineyard or beach.
Auckland Seaplanes regularly fly between Auckland and Waiheke Island, landing in Oneroa Bay bringing passengers right onto the beach, a short 3-5 minute stroll from our door here at Oneroa B and B.

Vineyards local to us:
Cable Bay Vineyard and Restaurant is a world class vineyard only a 15-20 minute stroll away. The walk is all elevated with stunning views back to Auckland. Highly recommend The Verandah for lunch or evening sunset views.
Mudbrick Vineyard and Restaurant another 10 minutes easy walk futher up the road is Mudbrick Vineyard. This is another fabulous destination with similar views.

Fenice Restaurant A lovely italian styled restaurant with a great menu and local wine list. Fenice is 100 meters from our door. They also have a takeaway pizza menu.
Adjaz Indian Restaurant Great well priced indian food with take out available. Great service and friendly staff. Adjaz is across the road, 30m from Oneroa b and B.
Oyster Inn Restaurant and Bar Treat yourselves to fabulous seafood inspired dishes. Great atmosphere with Oneroa Bay views from the deck. 115 meters from our door.
The Cove Pub style meals. Craft beers on tap, local wines on the menu. Views of Oneroa Bay. 100 odd meters from Oneroa b and B.
Little Oneroa Fish and Chippie Ph. 09-372-3288. A Kiwi classic not to be missed over summer. Don’t forget to grab a bottle of your favorite Waiheke Island wine, borrow a picnic blanket from us and settle in for the sunset. There’s also a wood fired pizza takeout down there too.
